Safeguard Security Patrols was established in 1972 and was granted the first government license for a security firm in New Zealand.

Since its inception in 1972 Safeguard Security Patrols has remained loyal to its North Shore foundations. We attend to over 240 premises every night within the North Shore region, as well as providing an Alarm Response service and Alarm Monitoring to over 1500 clients, both commercial and residential.

Communications is an essential factor within the security industry and our security officers are equipped with radiotelephones, alphanumeric tele-pagers and are in direct contact with our own 24-hour Control Base and Monitoring Station.

Safeguard Security Patrols work closely with the police for the benefit of the client when the need arises. We also work closely with numerous alarm installation and alarm monitoring companies who are major organisations within the security sphere, to give our clients the best possible service.

Safeguard Security is licensed under the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act 1975. All our employees are vetted through the Justice Department  and Police before being licensed as a responsible employee of Safeguard Security.
