The average person with a monitored security system if asked what would happen if their telephone lines were cut, would in most cases respond with "The monitoring centre will know straight away" Unfortunately that is not the case, the monitoring centre will know, but up to 24 hours later and that is too late. Increasingly the criminal element is becoming aware that if the phone line is cut they can gain access undetected.
